About / Dustjacket
Dustjacket is a single browser workspace for webinars, podcast episodes and screen recordings. It finds the good minutes, drafts the posts and puts them on a calendar. This page explains why it exists and what we promise about how it behaves.
Sec. 01 / The problem
Most teams already have the material. There is a webinar from last quarter, a podcast with sixty episodes, a screen recording of a feature walkthrough. Somewhere inside each one is a sentence that would work on its own, if somebody had the afternoon to find it.
That afternoon is the problem. Scrubbing a timeline, copying a quote into a design tool, resizing the same clip for four apps and rewriting the same idea as a blog post. None of it is hard, and all of it is slow, so it gets skipped and the recording sits in a folder.
Note 01 / What we set out to do
Take the finding, the cutting and the first draft off your list. Leave the choosing with you.Dustjacket was built for that gap. It does the repetitive pass quickly, shows its work, and stops short of anything you have not looked at.
Sec. 02 / Principles
These are design rules we check every change against. If a feature breaks one, the feature changes.
Nothing is published, scheduled or sent on its own. Every clip, card and draft waits for a yes from a person on your team. Posts only go out on the day you chose.
Rule 01
No publish without an approval.Every edit is a set of instructions laid over your upload. Trim a clip, delete a sentence or change a caption and the source recording is untouched, so you can always start again.
Rule 02
Edits are reversible. Source is never overwritten.Show notes, blog posts and quote cards are built from the transcript of your own recording. We do not invent quotes for your guests, and you can see the timestamp behind every line.
Rule 03
Every quote links back to its timestamp.Plans are a flat yearly price, shown on the pricing page in full. The plan you pick sets how many recordings you can bring in a month, and that limit is written next to the price.
Rule 04
Limits are printed beside the price.Sec. 03 / How it is built and looked after
Dustjacket shows each step it takes, so you are never guessing what happened to your file. When something needs a human, you can reach one.

Sec. 04 / Where it is going
This is a direction, not a dated promise. We would rather ship a thing that works than announce a thing that doesn’t.
Better ranking of the moments Dustjacket suggests, so the top three on the list are the three you would have chosen anyway.
A moving waveform with captions over your brand colours, for episodes that never had a camera pointed at them.
More social channels on the shared calendar, and more ways to bring recordings in without downloading them first.
Note 02 / Plans and prices on the pricing page are current; the list above is not a contract.
Sec. 05 / Your next step
Pick a yearly plan, bring in one file and read what Dustjacket found. The original stays as you recorded it.
